WHAT IS NJS?
The NJS (Shanghai New Jinshan Industrial Investment & Development Co., Ltd.) is the developer, maintainer and regulator of the 58 km2 footprint. As a state-owned company, NJS is responsible for all aspects of the Shanghai Bay Area High-tech Zone, from park planning to enforcement.
Founded in 2003, the Zone is one of Shanghai’s municipal-level industrial park. The Zone is designed by Singapore JTC Corporation, featuring the state-of-the-art layout, well-established infrastructure and high-quality public facilities.

To attract investors and support their growth in the Zone, NJS offers leveled land, standard workshops, excellent infrastructure, and efficient government services (dealing with more than 50 approval and registration services including enterprise set up, approval in safety, environmental protection, labor use and protection, construction, land planning, etc.).

WHERE ARE WE?
The Zone is located in the southwest part of Shanghai on the northern side of the Hangzhou Bay at the center of the Yangtze River Delta, which is home to 22 major cities including Suzhou, Hangzhou and Ningbo. The Zone has convenient access to transportation infrastructure connecting to three expressways (G15 Shenyang-Haikou, G1501 Shanghai Ring Expressway, and S4 Shanghai-Jinshan Expressway). In addition, the Jinshan Railway links the zone directly to downtown Shanghai. Downtown Shanghai, Pudong International Airport, Hongqiao Airport, the Hangzhou Bay Bridge and the Yangshan Deep Water Port all are within a one and one-half hour from the Zone.
WHO ARE OUR CLIENTS?
The Zone accommodates about 100 foreign companies and over 500 large-scale companies, generating an annual output value of over RMB 50 billion. The Zone currently focuses on four industrial clusters: The Smart Manufacturing Industrial Cluster, Life & Health Industrial Cluster, Opto Chip Industrial Cluster, and UAV Industrial Cluster.
