How we empower German companies in China

Engaging our community with events

We host more than 140 events annually across East China, attracting approximately 10,000 participants. Our gatherings range from casual mixers to prestigious events like the German Ball, offering our members extensive networking opportunities and the chance to cultivate meaningful connections within their industries.

Our diverse event calendar includes business engagements like factory visits and round table discussions, which foster knowledge sharing and provide valuable insights to young and seasoned professionals alike. These events provide a unique opportunity to learn from industry experts, stay ahead of current developments and trends, and forge long-lasting business relationships.

Supporting members with Government Affairs & Advocacy

As a foreign company operating in China, you may be facing complex regulatory hurdles. Obtaining product certifications and facing unequal treatment compared to domestic firms are just a few of the challenges you might encounter.

Our Government Affairs & Advocacy team are working to level the playing field for German businesses in China. They provide on-the-ground support to members and help navigating the regulatory landscape. Additionally, members can benefit from exclusive policy briefings.

Gain exclusive insights with our publications

The German Chamber offers a range of informative publications that provide valuable insights into the business landscape in China such as our quarterly business journal, 'Ticker'. Additionally, our surveys and reports capture business sentiment and can be used to inform strategic decision-making.

One of our most popular publications among members is the exclusive, full version of the Labor Market & Salary Report. More than 50% of our members consider the Labor Market & Salary Report to be a crucial resource in adjusting wages.
