Nanchang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone
Nanchang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone was established in March 1991 and approved by the State Council as a national high-tech zone in November 1992. Covering an area of 286 square kilometers, it is located at the east gate of Nanchang City and has jurisdiction over two towns and two departments. Its population is about 600,000 (including 307,000 registered residents, 160,000 industrial workers and 130,000 college teachers and students). There are 24,000 existing enterprises in the area, including 214 industrial enterprises above state designated scale and 602 high-tech enterprises. Besides, the location has attracted 23 Fortune Global 500Companies, China Top 500 Enterprises or Top 500 Chinese Private Firms as well as 141 foreign-funded enterprises and 18 listed companies have their headquarters here.
After 30 years of development, Nanchang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone has gradually formed an industrial cluster featuring leading industries such as electronic information, aviation manufacturing, medical and health care, and new materials. In 2021, the total operating revenue of Nanchang High-tech Zone was 610.9 billion yuan, and the revenue from main industrial business was 304.9 billion yuan. For six consecutive years, it has moved up in the comprehensive ranking of Torch Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology with a total of 169 state-level high-tech zones, jumping to the 24th place, thus standing firm in the “1st phalanx”.
For the investment of foreign-funded enterprises, we will set up a special coordinating group to provide barrier-free English communication.
