Competence Centre for the Food and Agriculture Industry
The Competence Centre for food and agriculture is a project to promote the export of German food and agricultural commodities and offers services for German companies who want to export their products to China. The competence center has been operated since September 2021 by the AHK Greater China in close cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL). The BMEL supports the AHK financially in the development of core competencies to strengthen the German export industry. As a result, German companies benefit from low-cost services within the framework of the Competence Centre.
The Competence Centre in China provides German companies with relevant information about the Chinese market and supports companies in entering the Chinese market with its state-sponsored comprehensive range of services.
The Chinese market is one of the largest markets in the world and thus holds great opportunities and enormous potential for German companies. China has formed a growing middle class, which has developed a need for safe, innovative and traditional food and agricultural commodities of the famous brand "Made in Germany". Before the COVID-19 pandemic, China showed an increasing demand for German products and this demand will continue to grow in the future. The Chinese economy has already recovered in 2021.
