Sino-German (Changzhou) Innovation Industry Park

Sino-German (Changzhou) Innovation Industry Park (referred to as SGIP hereinafter) was established in 2018 with a total area of 27.5 km², located in the west of Changzhou, Jiangsu. Recently, SGIP has been one of the ideal investment destinations in China for the small and medium-sized companies from German-speaking countries and regions, and also the platform for the exchange of Sino-German cultural, educational and other two-way communication.

 

SGIP was named as German Industry 4.0 Changzhou Manufacturing Base by Baden-Württemberg State and Jiangsu Provincial Government in 2018, and was authenticated by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce as the First Batch of Provincial-Level International Cooperation Industry Parks in 2020. In 2022, SGIP was designated to be a Sino-German Demonstration Project of Energy Efficiency in City Quarters by the National Development and Reform Commission of China and Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action of Germany. Moreover, SGIP has already established all-round support work mechanisms with different-level government departments, can to help the new companies to find the better solutions for the development in China.

Currently, in SGIP there are 50 FDI enterprises from German-speaking countries and regions, mainly focusing on E-mobility, electronics & communications, biotechnology & medical device and high-end equipment manufacturing industries, among which there are EMAG - a CNC machine tool manufacturer from Germany, SGB - a famous German dry-type transformer manufacturer, Eckert & Ziegler - a well-known German supplier of radioactive medical devices, and Schweizer - the world-leading producer of PCBs, Festool £ the world-renowned manufacturer of power and pneumatic tool, etc..

 

With various customized supporting policies for investors, more and more enterprises have chosen SGIP and won success. For each project we set up a specific professional service team with multilingual team members to provide all-around services to investors covering investment approval, business registration, environmental protection approval, energy efficiency evaluation, workshop construction and other services.

SGIP is located in the city with abundant high-quality education and local human resources in China. Annually, more than 38,000 students graduate from local universities and vocational colleges. One of the top universities in China - the Hohai University will be relocated to a new campus here in 2023. Moreover, the HWK Training and Certification Base for Highly-Skilled Talents in German Dual System education has been established in SGIP to provide customized training programs at different levels. In addition, SGIP has abundant labor resources, including plenty of local skilled technical workers, with a significantly competitive labor cost in the area of Yangtze River Delta. Regularly, we organize the monthly job fairs for free to international companies and job-seekers alike.

 

In SGIP there are well-serviced supporting facilities such as Sino-German (Changzhou) Center, Incubation & Entrepreneurship Center for newly established European enterprises to start up everything from here at a lower cost, with abundant land resources and existing standard workshops for different choices. And various living facilities such as German Beer Bar Zapfler, Marriot Hotel, international hospital, international school, can be found in and nearby SGIP.  Moreover, we have different social events in SGIP organized by different-level governments and organizations, such as Dialogue with Germany, Sino-German Economic Cooperation Forum, Oktoberfest, net@work events every year, so that everyone from abroad can feel at home.
