30th Anniversary of AHK Greater China in Shanghai

On June 22, 2024, AHK Greater China marked a significant milestone with its 30th Anniversary in Shanghai. The celebration was held at the prestigious Hotel Intercontinental Shanghai Expo. The evening was a resounding success, filled with camaraderie, reflection, and a look towards the future of German-Chinese relations.

The celebration started with a warm welcome for guests as they arrived for registration, followed by a Cocktail Reception that offered a relaxed atmosphere for networking and reunions. Participants were then treated to a selection of exquisite canapes in the grand ballroom, setting the stage for the main event.

The 30th Anniversary event program commenced with a heartwarming video that encapsulated the essence of our journey over the past three decades. The opening melody resonated throughout the room, setting the stage for a series of impactful speeches. Maximilian Butek, Executive Director of the German Chamber of Commerce - East China, moderated the event, guiding the audience through a series of insightful and inspiring addresses.

Dr. Clas Neumann, the Chairperson of Board of German Chamber of Commerce - East China, extended a warm greeting, setting the stage for the evening's tribute to our collective achievements. 

Kirsten Schoder-Steinmüller, Vice President of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), delivered a powerful speech highlighting the strength of our business ties and the importance of our ongoing collaboration.

The highlight of the evening was the keynote address by Dr. Robert Habeck, the ViceChancellor and Federal Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Action of Germany. His words underscored the significance of the Sino-German relationship and the role of AHK Greater China in fostering economic and cultural exchange.

The formal program concluded with a vibrant networking session, allowing attendees to engage in meaningful conversations and forge new connections.
