1. OVERVIEW
Development History
The Chuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone was established in June 1992 and approved as a national development zone in April 2011. With a planning area of 100 square kilometers, it has a built-up area of about 70 square kilometers, and a permanent resident population of nearly 160,000.
Achievements and Honors
In recent years, the Chuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone has witnessed rapid economic and social growth and ranked among top 50 national economic and technological development zones in the evaluation of the Ministry of Commerce in 2022 and 2023. It has been designated as "China Manufacturing Base for Household Appliances and Equipment', "National Characteristic Industrial Base for Design and Manufacturing of Household Appliances", "National Demonstration Base for New Industrialization of Household Appliances Industry', "National Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading Base (Household Appliances)", "National Demonstration Base for Agriculture Industrialization", "National Green Industrial Park", "China Food Industrial Base", and "National Demonstration Zone for Famous Brand Building of Intelligent Household Appliances Industry.
2. KEY INDUSTRIES
After thirty years of development, the Chuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone has fostered four pillar industries: green food, new energy and new materials, advanced equipment manufacturing, and intelligent household appliances and electronic information. The total output value of industrial enterprises above designated size has exceeded RMB 120 billion.
Green Food
There are more than 100 famous food and beverage companies and manufacturers , such as Panpan Foods, Yangyuan Beverage, Yinlu Foods, ChaCha Food, Eastroc Beverage, and Jiamei Food Packaging. The industrial chain is complete, covering raw material supply, printing and packaging, R&D and quality inspection, logistics and warehousing.
New Energy and New Materials
The Chuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone has formulated a high-quality industrial chain with a solid foundation, covering components, batteries, films, frames, and energy storage materials. There are industry leaders marked by LONGi Solar Technology, Risen Energy, First, Trina Solar, Gotion High-tech, and CITIC Bohai Aluminum.
Advanced Equipment Manufacturing
The Chuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone has nearly 200 enterprises of various types in the field, such as Yongqiang Vehicles Manufacturing, Dolly Automobile Technology, Jwell Machinery, Kingpower Equipment, and Mould Manufacture. Of these enterprises, there are four vehicle manufacturers and 52 companies above designated size. Moreover, a coordinated development paradigm has been established, with a focus on new energy vehicles, supplemented by refitted vehicles, special vehicles, auto parts manufacturing, advanced equipment, and mould making.
Intelligent Household Appliances and Electronic Information
A complete industrial chain has been shaped in the Chuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, ranging from R&D and design, mould and equipment, parts manufacturing to complete equipment assembly, printing and packaging, testing and certification, and logistics and transportation. The industrial chain highlights large appliances such as refrigerators, televisions, air-conditioners and washing machines, supplemented by small appliances such as water heaters, vacuum cleaners, kitchen and bathroom appliances. There are over 150 renowned manufacturers and key supporting companies in this field marked by BSH, Konka, HKC, and JCET.
