AHK Greater China - Shanghai, the official German Joint Pavilion organizer, has organized more than 120 participations for German companies for the first three editions of the China International Import Expo (CIIE). The German Joint Pavilion occupied around 922sqm booth space in 2020, 1,000 sqm booth space in 2019 and 1,300 sqm booth space in 2018. The 4th CIIE will be held offline as scheduled from November 5 to 10, 2021 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. Among the previous German Joint Pavilion exhibitors are companies like Benning, Bayer, Bremeninvest, Blauberg, Carl Cloos, CMC, DRD, EMS GmbH, hans-h.hasbargen, Herenknecht, IQ Air, Jacob, Knipex, Kärcher, Lackfabrick Bäder, Rhein Köster, Wiha, and more…
The CIIE organizer reported that the 3rd CIIE was the largest online-offline exhibition attracting the greatest number of participating countries under the regular prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic. It had an exhibition area of nearly 360,000 square meters, about 30,000 square meters larger than that of the 2nd. At the 3rd CIIE, 411 products, technologies, and services were newly released and 101 supporting activities were held intensively; meanwhile, nearly 400,000 buyers signed up for participation, and the intended turnover came to USD 72.6 billion. Besides, over 3,000 journalists at home and abroad signed up for interviews.
AHK Greater China - Shanghai will continue to organize the German Joint Pavilion in 2021 to support German businesses to present their products to the Chinese market. As registration is open, German companies are welcome to join the group participation under the brand “Made in Germany”.
