Dear Readers,
We are happy to present you with the first and revamped issue of the Business Journal of the German Chamber of Commerce in China in 2021. The German Chamber Ticker has been informing you on Sino-German developments and trends for more than 10 years, and has already undergone a few makeovers and brush-ups in the past.
2020 has been a year of challenges for businesses and communities and we understand the need for timely information and factual and practical content. The “new” Ticker is dedicated to putting our quality content into a modern and reader-friendly design, providing you with a mix of in-depth analysis and personal views. The magazine remains divided into a cover story and features containing articles on legal, policy, tech, and CSR. In this issue, we have added a series of op-eds - where key players of the Sino-German business community provide you with their personal views and insights - and we will continue to develop and integrate new formats into the upcoming ones.
In order to provide you with news of the community in a faster and more interactive way, we have moved our member news, new members and event reviews sections onto our digital platforms, such as our regional WeChat channels, newsletters, and LinkedIn.
Moving on to this issue’s focus: our spring cover stories reflect on the most recent trends in marketing, social media, and data. Experts from Ogilvy, KAWO, Daxue Consulting, China Skinny, Storymaker and wai social will be taking you on a deep dive into the topic. Our feature articles discuss recent legal developments and the business climate for German companies.
