We are pleased to introduce Michael Kern as the new Executive Director & Board Member of the German Chamber of Commerce in China - East China, based in Shanghai. Since taking up his post a few weeks ago, Michael Kern already visited many member companies, partners and stakeholders.
Michael Kern has more than 32 years of experience within the Network of German Chambers Abroad. Prior to his current appointment, he served as CEO of the German-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce. His previous postings include CEO of the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce, CEO of the German-Slovak Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Bratislava, and Deputy CEO of the German-Czech Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Before his career in the German Chamber Network abroad, he gained experience in a big trading company in Germany.
