Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily office administrative work, such as office equipment and suppliers purchasing, income call transfer, office equipment maintenance, IT coordination, contracts management etc.
  • Receive visitors, support on meeting arrangements like meeting room preparation, event on-site support when needed.
  • Support colleagues on travel arrangements like flight ticket booking, hotel booking. Keep good relationship with the corresponding vendors.
  • Assist foreign colleagues to apply for work permits and residence permits.
  • Organize company activities like annual dinners, birthday parties, Christmas parties, etc.

Responsibility

  •  Drive and develop cooperation opportunities with target government department / authorities and transfer cooperation leads to business projects.
  • Actively involve or lead projects in field of government cooperation, which includes but not limit to preparation of bidding material, close communication and coordination with stakeholders, project supervision and management, project closing and report preparation etc.

Internship Opportunities

Event Intern | Shanghai | Posted on May 16, 2025

Responsibility:

  • Assistance in the coordination and execution of key chamber projects, including Member Connect, ESG Alliance, Mediation Center initiatives, German Ball events, and Deep Dive series.
  • Supporting different communication channels: writing articles, adjusting content, preparation of invitation mailings and WeChat postings.
  • Assistance in preparation and implementation of regular Chamber events such as webinars, workshops, roundtables, and company visits: composing event proposals, event promotion, registration and payment processing, preparation of presentations and speeches.
  • Support data analysis and contribute to the improvement of the member CRM system, event management tools, and visual design resources.
  • Maintaining and communicating with members, sponsors and partners of the Sino-German business network via different channels.
  • Support different projects across departments and other locations in the German Chamber Network in China.

 

Requirements:

  • Final year undergraduate student or master student
  • Excellent English (additional knowledge of German or Chinese is a plus)
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Friendly and highly motivated character, result driven and thorough working style with attention to detail
  • Strong multitasking skills and can work under pressure, motivated and proactive
