AHK Sino-German

Energy Storage/Battery Delegation

As a key highlight of the German Pavilion, we launched the first-ever "AHK Sino-German Energy Storage / Battery Industry Delegation" tour, featuring a curated route for German representatives to visit leading Chinese energy storage companies in person.

The delegation brought together 80+ participants from 30+ German companies across the full energy storage value chain. Among them, 40% held decision-making roles, and 63% of the represented companies were Fortune Global 500 firms or hidden champions.

Audience Profile: What brought them here?

German company representatives arrived with clearly defined objectives. According to on-site survey, “seeking partners” and “procuring services/products” were the top priorities for most delegates, alongside strong interest in "exchanging insights" and "analyzing market trends."

This was not merely a casual tour, but a field study conducted by German energy storage companies to gain firsthand insight into China's energy storage market.

Booth Party

As an important part of German Pavilion, a specially designed “German-style coffee break” and themed roundtable discussions were arranged on site. In an informal and engaging setting, guests engaged in in-depth exchanges around three core topics: “AI + Energy Storage: Intelligent Energy Efficiency”, “Energy Storage Safety: Green Monitoring”, and “Energy Storage + Batteries: Expanding to Germany”.

Lu Wang, Director of China Region, Bremeninvest, Viktoria Harmel, Co-Founder & CTO of MaxxWatt, Nils Johannsen, Industry management renewable energy of Beckhoff, Zongliang Zhang, Director marketing of NRW.Global Business China/Beijing, and Joachim Baumann, Global sales director of Knick, shared insights and valuable experience. Each themed discussion drew a large audience and sparking dynamic discussions

At the end of the event, all guests gathered in front of the backdrop for a group photo. The camera captured smiling faces and handshakes, marking another memorable moment in Sino-German energy storage cooperation.

The successful launch of German Pavilion at ESIE 2026 was more than a trade fair - it marked a new starting point for collaboration. This first joint pavilion provided an increasingly focused platform for energy storage exchanges between German and Chinese enterprises, shifting bilateral cooperation from one-to-one contacts to larger-scale two-way interaction. Looking ahead, we expect more German companies to meet their Chinese partners here and explore broader opportunities for cooperation.
