QINGDAO FREE TRADE ZONE · SINO-GERMAN ECOPARK

The Park has formulated an industrial development plan combining more than three major sectors: Integrated Circuits, life health, intelligent manufacturing, etc. 

In July 2010, the Ecopark was signed under the witness of the Chinese Prime Minister and the German Chancellor. By now, 80 enterprises from German-speaking countries have settled here. The Ecopark has become one of the industrial parks in northern China with the most German-funded enterprises, including Siempelkamp, ElringKlinger, Continental, Siemens, Diehl, Sophienhammer, Weiss Chemie, Ebmpapst, Logomat, etc. Besides, enterprises from other countries have also settled here such as BWT, Ebara, Kapro, etc.

Qingdao West Coast New Area, where the Park is located, has an annual GDP of over CNY 500 billion and about 2.6 million residents. Metro Line 6 and various bus lines connect the Ecopark to the central area of Qingdao City. The Ecopark is 9 km, 15 minutes’ drive to Qingdao Qianwan Port, which ranks as the 4^th biggest port in the world; and about 48 km, 40 minutes’ drive to Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport (F4 standard). Crossroads of main highways are within the park. 

There are currently 27 general higher educational institutions and universities in Qingdao, including Ocean University of China, Shandong University (Qingdao) etc.  

Within 5 km of the Park are the Zhongze Shopping Square, Qingdao Waltz Plaza, and Qingdao West Coast Wanda Plaza; within 10 km are Metro and Changjiang Shopping Plaza, etc.
