First established as a provincial‑level development zone in 1993, it was upgraded to a national economic and technological development zone in 2011. Spanning 65.5 km2, the zone is home to 140,000 residents, governing 17 villages and communities and eight industrial communities. It has earned prestigious titles including China Outstanding Development Zone, National Green Park, and Most Investment‑worthy Development Zone in the Yangtze River Delta, and achieved an excellent ranking in Zhejiang’s 2025 development zone evaluation.
The zone delivers exceptional economic performance. With merely 10% of the county’s land area, it generates nearly 50% of the county’s total industrial output. In 2025, its GDP reached CNY 23.42 billion, and the gross industrial output of enterprises above designated size exceeded CNY 101.6 billion, making it one of the few “100‑billion‑yuan industrial parks” in the region. The output value of core digital economy manufacturing hit CNY 70.97 billion, tripling in five years with an average annual growth rate of 11.5%.
JSEDZ has built a focused “3+3” industrial system: three emerging industries—integrated circuits and communications electronics, life and health, new energy and new materials; three traditional superior industries—fashion textiles, equipment manufacturing, and smart home. In integrated circuits, flagship enterprises including GalaxyCore, Southchip, and Lansus have formed a full industrial chain from wafer production to final packaging and testing. GalaxyCore ranks first globally in CMOS image sensor shipments; Southchip and Lansus are leaders in power management chips and radio‑frequency chips respectively. In new energy, LanJun New Energy, backed by Tsingshan Group, leads lithium battery development, while Edelman pioneers hydrogen energy and supports one of China’s densest hydrogen bus networks. The life and health sector hosts more than 10 high‑end projects such as Hengyu Biotech and Kang’ai Biotech. Overall, the zone hosts 15 Fortune Global 500‑invested enterprises, 7 listed companies, 15 national specialized and sophisticated “little giant” enterprises, and about 200 foreign‑funded enterprises, with annual paid‑in foreign capital of USD 170 million.
Innovation serves as a core engine. The zone is proud to have 228 national high‑tech enterprises and 375 provincial‑level technology‑based SMEs, with high‑tech industries accounting for over 91% of total industrial added value. Key innovation platforms including Fudan Research Institute and LanJun Research Institute accelerate the integration of talent, innovation, and industrial chains.
Business and living support is comprehensive. A fund matrix of over CNY 4 billion has supported more than 40 industrial projects. Specialized small and micro parks cover more than 1 million m2. The zone provides full 15‑year quality education coverage, talent apartments, commercial complexes, and high‑end hotels, evolving from a traditional manufacturing park into a modern, industry‑city integrated community.
Leveraging the national strategy of the Yangtze River Delta Integration Demonstration Zone, Jiashan Economic and Technological Development Zone sincerely welcomes global investors, partners, and talents to join us for win‑win cooperation and shared prosperity.
