The China-Germany(Xuchang)Industrial Park includes six parts: China-Germany (Europe) Recycled Metal Eco-City, North Area of Jian'an District Industrial Park, South Area of Jian'an District Industrial Park, East Extension District of Central Plain Electrical Valley, Bonded Logistics Center, and Southwest Park of Economic Development Zone Industrial Park. We will promote agglomeration of four major industries—advanced manufacturing, new-generation information technology, new materials, and energy conservation and environmental protection— within the “One Park and Six Parts” framework. Enterprises such as ALBA Group, Befesa, and XJ Schindler have settled in the industrial park.
The city governs six counties (cities and districts), including Yuzhou City, Changge City, Yanling County, Xiangcheng County, Weidu District, and Jian'an District, as well as three functional zones: the Urban-Rural Integration Demonstration Zone, the Economic and Technological Development Zone, and the Dongcheng District, covering a total area of 4,979 km2. It has a registered population of 5.12 million and a permanent population of 4.35 million. In 2025, Xuchang achieved a GDP of CNY 358.3 billion, ranking 6th in Henan Province by total economic output, with a growth rate of 6.3% placing it 4th in the province. As an important industrial city, it ranks 3rd in terms of industrial capacity in Henan province, with primary, secondary, and tertiary industry accounting for 5.8%, 42.6%, and 51.6% respectively. Xuchang is home to 2,060 industrial enterprises above designated size, having formed an equipment manufacturing industrial cluster exceeding CNY 100 billion, multiple industrial clusters surpassing CNY 10 billion in sectors including hair products, silicon-carbon new materials, super-hard materials and products, textiles and apparel, pharmaceuticals, and Jun porcelain. It holds significant positions as: a national important base for power equipment and auto parts, the largest elevator production base in central and western China as well as the world's largest manufacturing base for synthetic diamonds and hair products.
Xuchang has established communication mechanisms with institutions such as AHK Greater China and German-Chinese Association for Exchange (also named GDCV). The city has organized many investment promotion events in Germany, facilitating exchanges for more than 150 local enterprises with German counterparts, while over 100 companies from Germany and other European countries have visited Xuchang more than 70 times for business cooperation. As a result, Xuchang has attracted investment from many internationally renowned companies, such as Befesa, ALBA, and Purem from Germany, Schindler from Switzerland, and Saint-Gobain from France.
To promote the development of German enterprises in Xuchang, two supporting platforms have been established: the first one is the 16 km² Sino-German (Xuchang) Industrial Park, which focuses on industrial development and has become the driving force of Xuchang to attract foreign investment; the second one is the DeutscheIN Town, which aims to create a German-style living scene and provide comfortable conditions for German experts and businessmen.
