Objectives and Content
The “Introduction to Project Management” course is designed for fresh project managers and project members with some project experience to fully understand the methodology and application. After the session, participants will
- have the full picture of Project Management, incl. background, business value and application
- know best practice and most useful project tools
- have stronger skills in dealing with complexity and balancing views of key stakeholders
Participants gain know-how how to set-up and run their projects more efficient and therefore reach their project goals faster and more successfully. They will practice applying the methods and tools in the online sessions as well as in their assigned case.

Outline
This training contains four sessions, each session 2 hours.
- Session 1 (2 hours, June 18 13:30 - 15:30): Basics about Project Management overall structure, business values and application
- Session 2 (2 hours, June 18 16:00 - 18:00): Scope Mgmt. and Scope Statement, Time Mgmt. and Working Breakdown Structure
- Session 3 (2 hours, June 19 13:30 - 15:30): Stakeholder Mgmt. and Stakeholder Analysis, Risk Mgmt. and Risk Analysis and Project Mgmt. Integration as well as Readiness Assessment as Project Manager
- Session 4 (2 hours, June 19 16:00 - 18:00): Project Kick off – supplemented with a group case work

Facilitator
Wendy Yu is senior consultant at CPC Consulting (Beijing) Co., Ltd. daughter company of the leading German change management consultancy CPC AG and “Hidden Champion for Change Management and Implementation” in 2018 and 2020.
Wendy has multiple years of professional experience in project management, handling process and organization setup. She focuses on cross-function, cross-entity and cross-region projects. In her work she combines the technical view of processes, tools, efficiency with the people and mindset view considering working culture, collaboration principles, roles and responsibilities. Her core belief is only a combination of both can be truly successful.
