Pinghu Economic-Technological Development Zone

Pinghu Economic-Technological Development Zone (“PEDZ”) was established in 1996 and upgraded to national-level in 2013. PEDZ is located at the intersection of the diamond diagonal of the four major cities: Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou, and Ningbo, bordering Shanghai to the north and Hangzhou Bay to the south. There are more than 1000 enterprises located in PEDZ, including over 300 foreign enterprises and nearly 30 of them are Fortune Global 500 enterprises. In 2024, PEDZ had a GDP of CNY 25.97 billion, with imports & exports valued at CNY 24 billion, and the total industrial output value of enterprises above CNY 20 million reached CNY 64.5 billion, with foreign enterprises contributing 68% of it.

PEDZ is an industrial park with various German enterprises clustered in Zhejiang Province and has successfully established Sino-German (Pinghu) Cooperation Park with nearly 50 German enterprises settled down, including thyssenkrupp, DMG MORI, Wacker Neuson, Hirschvogel, Viessmann, Stabilus, Trützschler, Liebherr, Eppendorf, Paulaner, and many other world-famous multinational and Fortune Global 500 enterprises.

WHY US?

PEDZ has a reliable investment promotion team of 30 people (6 are German-speaking, 13 are English-speaking) who are highly experienced in company relocation, land plot and workshop acquisition, foreign investment, company registration, and other solutions for international companies. A project promotion team has been set up to provide considerable services, including but not limited to project approval, business license obtaining, land plot tendering, workshop construction, equipment importing, employee recruitment, etc.

As a national-level development zone, PEDZ has its own departments of national resources, city management, planning and designing, asset management, designing layout approval, and a service center for providing one-stop service. Such integration makes fast and high-efficient internal communication possible and facilitates successful and smooth settlement of a new company in PEDZ.
