The Wirtschaftsjunioren | Young Leaders Beijing
The Wirtschaftsjunioren | Young Leaders Beijing is a group of young managers and entrepreneurs of different industry backgrounds and nationalities with a long-term interest in China. The Wirtschaftsjunioren | Young Leaders Beijing provides a networking and learning platform for young entrepreneurs and managers, who are interested in developing their professional skills, expanding their network, broadening their personal knowledge and sharing their experiences.
The Wirtschaftsjunioren | Young Leaders (http://www.wjd.de) are the German arm of the Junior Chamber International (http://www.jci.cc). The Wirtschaftsjunioren Beijing Chapter is guided by the principles of the Wirtschaftsjunioren Germany.
Two working groups within the Wirtschaftsjunioren | Young Leaders Beijing are in charge of organizing events and activities, which are continuously looking for active support:
The Working Group Business addresses a wide range of business topics, particularly with regard to the Chinese market. The focal topics are leadership development, HR management, succession planning for SMEs, change management, skills & career development, legal, CSR, social media & marketing, sales as well as macro-economic trends and developments in China.
In order to gain more in-depth knowledge about Chinese as well as foreign companies, their specific business models and their particular challenges on the Chinese market, the working group invites Young Leaders to “look behind the curtains” and join their regular company visits.
2. Culture & Society
This working group focuses on cultural exchange and community building between Chinese and International Young Leaders in Beijing. Thus, the working group Culture & Society organizes a diverse range of activities which relate to culture in a broader sense, including but not limited to Art, Music, Language, Sports, Politics, Education and Travelling.
Young leaders, entrepreneurs, managers and others living and working in Beijing, who want to actively engage in workshop activities organized around the two main workshop themes: Business and Culture & Society.
As precondition for becoming a Young Leader, you should meet the following criteria:
- Age between 25 and 40 years
- At least two years of professional experience
- Work stay in China for more than one year
- Management responsibility
