German Ball 2017 - Casino Night

November 18th, Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Centre.

A magical night of rolling dice, enchanting performances and incredible tricks! The 17th German Ball, hosted in fine old tradition by the German Chamber of Commerce in North China attracted 750 guests with a ‘Casino Night’ theme.

This year’s German Ball, coming hot on heels of our 20 Year Anniversary celebration, was a second highlight in a standout year for the German Chamber of Commerce in Beijing. The Kempinski Hotel’s elegant ballroom sparkled with glamorous show girls, deft magicians and superb musical entertainment.

Las Vegas-style showgirls welcomed and entertained guests during the reception, as they enjoyed cocktails and canapes. A captivating burlesque show opened the ball’s entertainment program, taking the audience back to the 20th century.

After that atmospheric opening, welcome speeches by Ms. Alexandra Voss, Executive Director of the German Chamber of Commerce in China | North China and Delegate & Chief Representative of the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce Beijing, and Mr. Lothar Herrmann, Chairman of the German Chamber of Commerce in China | North China and CEO Siemens Greater China, President and CEO of Siemens Ltd., China officially started the German Ball 2017.

While guests enjoyed specially created dinner by Kempinski Executive Chef Michael Kreiling, the Dunshan Symphonic Wind Orchestra enchanted the audience with melodious classical sounds and the dance floor was filled with dancing couples.

As the Casino Night progressed, the audience was thrilled by the magician’s grand illusions and mind-blowing tricks.

A wide variety of drinks offered at the open bars and the fabulous dessert buffet encouraged guests to mingle with colleagues and friends, while the midnight buffet and coffee bar were much appreciated by those, who needed a break before dancing the night away to the vibrant beats of band Lounge Society from Germany and DJ Jean-Marc.
