Automotive Roundtable

Since 2015, the German Chamber of Commerce in North China (Shenyang office) regularly organizes roundtable events mainly for representatives of the automotive industry in Northeast China. Consequently, the Automotive Roundtable concept was originally designed to provide an exchange platform for managers and decision makers from local automotive suppliers, OEMs and related industries to share experiences, information and ideas. The unique characteristic of these regional automotive events is the “on location” approach, each time the roundtable will be held at varying production facilities of our member companies. The concept typically includes a brief introduction of the host company, a guided factory tour, presentations by external experts and a roundtable discussion followed by a relaxed get-together.

Since the concept was first introduced in the northeast region, more than 20 roundtables took place in cities such as Shenyang, Dalian and Changchun. Automotive companies such as BMW Brilliance Automotive, Draexlmaier Automotive, OTTO FUCHS Technology, Dr. Schneider Automotive, HELLA Automotive Lighting, Arnold Fasteners, Volkswagen Automatic Transmission, Changchun ElringKlinger, ZF Lemforder Automotive, Schenker Logistics Boysen Exhaust Systems etc. are supporting the concept and many external experts were invited in the last years to lecture on topics such as environmental challenges, vocational training, quality management, energy efficiency, logistics, cyber security, mobility concepts, new energy vehicles etc.

During its first appearance in 2015, the Automotive Roundtable has strengthened its positive reputation within the local automotive community as an accepted exchange platform for representatives of the local automotive industry and a reliable source for the latest industry information.
