07.02.17 German Industry & Commerce, Market Information

Take part in our business development trip to Beijing, Shenzhen and Zhuhai from July 3 to 7, 2017 to learn more about the chances and challenges of involvement in the aviation industry in China.

The Delegation of German Industry & Commerce (AHK) Greater China is organizing a business development trip to Beijing, Shenzhen and Zhuhai for small and medium-sized German enterprises (SMEs) and suppliers from the aviation industry. This project is related to the support measures within the scope of the foreign market entry program for SMEs and supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) on the basis of a decision by the German Bundestag.

The aerospace industry is regarded as one of the key industries that are supposed to establish China as an industrial nation by 2025. Since 2013, the opening of the general airspace in the Middle Kingdom is gradually progressing, but the aviation industry features already a substantial growth. However, this ever-expanding branch is facing a lack of adequate infrastructure and know-how. The further development of the general aviation industry in China requires more expertise in managing small airports and flight training academies, as well as capabilities in the field of manufacturing and aviation services. In order to learn from best practices of nations with a further developed aviation industry, the Chinese government officially recommends local enterprises to cooperate with other countries like Germany. .  The development deficiencies of the general aviation in China offer an outstanding potential for German cooperation partners. German enterprises should position their business early stage in a promising market like China. The AHK Greater China offers participating enterprises individually arranged initial contact meetings with local enterprises, company visits of flight training academies, small airports and (light) aircraft companies, as well as roundtable meetings gathering representatives of economy and politics to assess the chances and risks of an engagement in this emerging industry. The focus of this business development trip is set on individualized matchmaking with potential business partners and decision-makers of the industry, offering new business opportunities to the German participants and supporting them in their aim of advancing internationalization. Each participant will receive extensive information about the Chinese market as well as   a special target market analysis of the Chinese aviation industry.

The amount of each participant’s fee is between 500 and 1,000 Euros (gross), depending on the enterprise size. Individual consulting services apply to the De-minimis regulation of the EU. Participating enterprises need to bear their own expenses of transport, accommodation and catering. Application deadline is March 31, 2017.
