Board Election 2012

Invitation to nominate candidates -
proposals for Chamber board election 2012 

The German Chamber of Commerce in China  Shanghai will elect a new Board of Directors on April 26th, 2012. We invite each member of the German Chamber of Commerce in China - Shanghai who is qualified to vote, to nominate candidates for the election of the Board of Directors. The candidates are to represent principal member (Hauptmitglieder) or additional members (Nebenmitglieder) of the German Chamber of Commerce in China - Shanghai. Consistent with the Chamber’s statute, associate members (individuelle Mitglieder) and employee members (Mitarbeitermitglieder) cannot vote and cannot stand for election to the Board. 

In accordance with the Chamber’s statute, the candidates have to meet the following requirements:

1. They presently hold a senior management position, i.e. either General Manager, Member of the Board, or Chief Representative. 
   
   
2. They have a good standing in German-Chinese business relations. 
   
   
3. They are willing to accept the nomination and to assume the task to serve on the board. One term lasts two years. 

Nomination proposals should be submitted in writing (E-mail or postal) to the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce Shanghai (c/o Mr. Sebastian Zettelmeier, Email: zettelmeier.sebastian@sh.china.ahk.de) by February 23rd, 5 pm at the latest. The Delegation will then inquire whether the proposed candidates fulfill the requirements as above. They will be put on the list of candidates only if they are qualified as described.
