China’s transition into a more sustainable growth model continues to show effects on the labor market. According to this year’s wage and salary survey of the German Chamber of Commerce in China, German companies operating in China expect wages increases of 6.23% for 2017.

The wage and salary survey of the German Chamber of Commerce in China indicates that German companies expect more moderate wage growth for the future. On average and depending on job position, increases are expected to be 7.1%.
