Strong foundation and future perspectives

Despite challenging conditions and an increased cautiousness, China retains its status as the most significant market worldwide for companies from Germany. German firms particularly identify productivity improvements as a major factor to achieving business objectives and therefore expect higher sales and increased profits. Additionally they want retain last years high investment level in China – despite indications that Chinese competition is significantly increasing. Challenges with regard to human resources as well as internet restrictions remain the most urgent problem in the Middle Kingdom, but with a slightly positive change.
