Higher profits under increasing competition

Two-thirds of the surveyed companies increased their sales in China during the first half of 2011 compared to last year – nearly one third of the companies even increased them by over 25%. Every second company expect their orders also to increase in 2011 in order to gain higher profit.

Hiring and keeping qualified employees becomes a greater challenge

Most of the German companies consider hiring qualified staff as much greater challenge. More than 90% of all companies name serious problems when it comes to finding matching employees. Almost as many consider the ongoing increase of the workers’ salary and the high rate of staff turnover as a challenge.

More investments and a higher number of representative offices are in planning

For the next ten years, nine of ten companies still see a great potential to extend their businesses in their primary market sector. 50% of all companies are planning the foundation of new branches in China. Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Xi’an are among the most considerable regions. Until 2015, every forth company schedules to extend their investments in China by 50%.
