The wage and salary survey of the German Chamber of Commerce in China indicates that wages increases will again push up labor costs for 2012. On average and depending on job position, increases are expected to be around 8%. On average this reflects that wages are increasing at a slower pace compared to the previous year. Rising labor costs remain the main concern for companies, followed by recruiting and retaining qualified staff.
