Already, the network and members are starting to benefit from the scheme, with external partners of DE, such as SIXT car rental company, offering special prices. The synergies DE is creating will bring even more benefits to our members in future.
Furthermore, GIC provides the management, dedicated staff and other resources to the German Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong, which is with about 450 members one of the larges European national business groups in Hong Kong.
In Hong Kong, GIC, in co-operation with the German Swiss International School, offers two vocational training programmes in compliance with the German “dual system” scheme. During the two year training programme apprentices of “Wholesale and Foreign Trade Management Assistant” and “Transport and Logistics Management Assistant” attend the vocational training school for up to two days a week while learning the trade “on the job” in their respective training companies during the remaining days of the week. The certificate is fully recognized in Germany and endorsed by the German Chamber organizations (IHK).
