Expected wage growth at German companies in China continues to slow down. German companies in China expect to increase wages in 2018 by an average of 5.90%, showing the lowest growth expectations since the Chamber started collecting data at China level in 2012.

China’s transition into a more sustainable growth model continues to show effects on the labor market. According to this year’s wage and salary survey of the German Chamber of Commerce in China, German companies operating in China expect wages increases of 6.23% for 2017.
